Your Offer Isn't Too Expensive. Your Proof Is Too Thin.

  • 0

Every time a creator tells me their offer isn't selling because of the price, I ask one question: Where is the proof that this works?

Nine times out of ten, that's where the real problem is hiding.

People don't argue with price. They argue with risk:

Price is rarely the actual objection. Risk is. When a potential buyer says it's too expensive, what they usually mean is that they're not convinced the result is real, achievable, or worth the investment for someone like themselves.

Lower the price and the doubt doesn't disappear. It just gets quieter for a moment before it shows back up on the next offer. The real fix isn't a discount. It's proof so specific and credible that the risk disappears from the buyer's mind before they ever look at the price.

What proof actually looks like:

Proof is not a highlight reel of vague wins and general testimonials. Proof is specific. It names the person, the problem they started with, the result they got, and the connection between the two. It's detailed enough that a buyer can see themselves in the story.

Generic proof — "this changed my life" — does almost nothing. Specific proof — "I was stuck doing exactly this, tried this approach, and here's specifically what shifted" — removes doubt in a way that no sales copy can.

Before you lower the price:

Ask yourself these questions. Have you actually shown your audience this works, or have you just told them? Do you have real, specific outcomes you could be putting front and center but aren't? Are you using the proof you have consistently and confidently, or are you underselling it?

Most creators are sitting on proof that could be doing heavy lifting for their conversions — and they're not using it because they don't want to seem like they're bragging. Sharing proof isn't bragging. It's serving your audience by removing the risk that's standing between them and the result they need.

Your action step:

Identify one real piece of proof — a result, a win, a specific transformation — that you've been sitting on. This week, put it front and center in your content. Watch what happens to the objections.
